If you have started an education programme that entitles you to an extended grant, then you will receive that grant until you complete your programme.
To be eligible for the grant, you must:
- be enrolled in a programme of study at one of the institutions on the list below
- pay more than a certain amount in tuition fees
The amount you are required to pay in tuition fees changes each academic year, and will be updated in April. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the amount was 162,542 NOK. Remember to check our website for the academic year you are in to find out whether you are eligible for the grant.

When you submit your application for a loan and grant, we will assess whether you are entitled to an extended grant for tuition fees.
Note that the calculator is for the current academic year. It will be updated with amounts and universities for the 2026-2027 academic year some time in the spring of 2026.
