Application for upper secondary education for those with statutory rights as a young person

This is what are you applying for

In the application you apply for grant for course materials. This is the grant that everybody receives. You also apply for housing grant and travel grant if you live away from your parents, and child grant if you have children.

You may also choose to apply for income-dependent grant.

Use this application also for additional loans for tuition fees and any loans for those who are over the age of 18.

Consent

In the application, you are asked to consent that we retrieve information from Vigo. If you consent, we will retrieve information about which school you are enrolled in and which education programme you will be taking. If you do not consent, you must select the education programme and school from a list.

Documentation

In most cases, documentation is not required for programmes in Norway. If you nevertheless are required to submit documentation, you will be informed of this in the application. After submitting your application, you will be able to submit documentation via Dine sider at lanekassen.no or by regular post.

Assessment time

You will receive a response or notification of the application’s status within 24 hours.

The application is not available on Dine sider immediately, but if you have received a receipt, we have received your application. You will also find information about the estimated processing time for your application at Dine sider.

Apply as soon as you get admission
for 2023–2024

You may now apply for loans and grants for the academic year 2023–2024.

The deadlines are:

  • 15. november 2023 for the fall 2023
  • 15. mars 2024 for spring 2024

Some can still apply for
2021–2022

If your course starts after March 1 2022, you can still apply for grants and loans.

The deadline is before the end of the academic year
