NOK 8,000 of an additional loan can be converted into a grant
Only pupils and students who actually had a drop in income due to the coronavirus situation, get the conversion.
You must therefore document that you met this condition before you can have NOK 8,000 of the additional loan converted into a grant.
Normally only students who live away from home can have their loans converted into grants. This requirement does not apply to additional loans, and you can therefore have NOK 8,000 of your additional loan converted into a grant regardless of whether or not you lived away from home or at home with your parents during this period
The deadline for submitting documentation is March 10, 2021
There may be various reasons why pupils and students have had a drop in income, where the coronavirus situation was the cause. We therefore accept various forms of documentation. On Dine sider, you will find examples of which documentation you should submit, based on your situation.
The crucial thing is that what you submit clearly shows that you have experienced a drop in income or a loss of income in the period 1 March - 15 June 2020, and that the coronavirus situation was the reason for this.
You are not required to have lost all your income between 1 March and 15 June 2020. You could apply for the loan if you suffered a drop in income for just part of that period.
No drop in income after all
If you got the loan but did not experienced a drop in income after all, it is still important that you answer.
If you did not have a drop in income after all, you will not get NOK 8,000 of the additional loan converted into grant. The entire additional loan is added to your student loan, which must be repaid after graduation.
